Street Photography: How Can We Turn A Blind Eye To The Homeless? [pic]

Sleeping Homeless Man in Washington, D.C.

I captured this image in Washington, D.C. The city that makes all the rules and regulations for the rest of the country.

How can politicians pretend not to see them?

I remember when Ronald Reagan was in office. He said he did not see any homeless people in  Washington, D.C. I guess his limo windows were tinted too dark, because the homeless sleep in parks and on vents near the White House.

It is usually da case that the homeless r not looked upon favorably and regarded as decent; however, some were productive citizens of society! There is a wealth of experience && talents which afforded them a lifestyle such as: health care specialists, educators, talented artists && musicians, ae well as those brave service personnel who fought for this country; just a few who for unforeseen reason (s) have fallen on hard times and of course in some cases, substance abuse, mental health and depression played a significant part; nevertheless, some of them were us at one time, and with today’s economy, record high unemployment, foreclosures and the current “status quo”, realistically speaking, none of us is immune and therfore may endure shame and humiliation??
People may not see them, but God do!
